Soulless - T. Baggins This turned out a lot better than what I imagined. The first half of the story was kind of boring - lots of introduction-type material (with a whole group of secondary/support characters) and flashbacks that explained Ban's past. Fortunately, these secondary characters (especially Martha) were charming in their own way and the flashbacks weren't too long. Ban wasn't as "bad" as I wanted him to be, but it was fun picking his brain apart. The second half of the story was what brought this from a 3 star book to a 4 star book, and the ending was a HEA for me (some may see it as a HFN).

I feel the need to note that this story does contain violence + gore, dub-con/rape (not between Nicholas and Ban), and that Nicholas is a eunuch. If any of these things really bother you, then Soulless may not be the book for you.
